Department of Atomic Energy is inviting candidates to apply for Assistant Security Officer. The candidates can view details online under Advertisement No. AMD-1/2013.
There are total of 170 vacancies out of which ten seats are for Assistant Security Officer, 60 Posts for Security Guards and 100 posts for Work Assistant. Seats are divided among general quota, OBC and other reserved categories.
Assistant Security Officer-A (Male) will be getting Rs.9, 300-34,800 along with GP and other allowances. Security Guard (Male) will be getting Rs.52, 000-20,200 along with GP of Rs.1, 800/-plus other allowances.
Eligibility criteria
Age criteria: Age limit as mentioned in the advertisement for the post is as follows:- For Assistant Security Officer-A (Male) a person should not be less than eighteen or more than 27 years.
- Security Guard (Male) should not be below 18 years and not above 27 years of age.
- Work Assistant – A (Male & Female) should be at the minimum 18 years of age and at the maximum 27 years of age.
- Relaxation for SC candidates is five years and for OBC candidates it is 3 years. Only reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation.
- Assistant Security Officer – A (Male) should be a graduate. Degree should be from a University that is recognized.
- Any 10th pass student or one that has educational qualifications equivalent to it can apply for the post of Security Guard (Male).

Selection process
Screening is conducted for applicants who are selected. The physical endurance test has to be cleared for the post of Assistant Security Officer. Those who clear this test only they can sit for the written test. Security Guard post requires the same procedure for selection. Interview is the last step in the selection procedure. A typewritten application on an A4 people should be submitted to the organization. Directions for writing the application are given along with the advertisement. The envelope for sending the application is to be super scribed as “Application for the post of…………in AMD, against the advertisement AMD-1/2013”. Applicant’s photograph should be affixed to the application. For further information one can visit www.amd.gov.in. Photocopies of certificates asked for should be sent along with the application. Special caste certificates and other certificates should also be attached with the application. Last date for sending the application and its receipt by the AMD office is 22/4/2013.
